My first time up Mt St Helens. So I decided to make this a tribute to David A Johnston, who died 6 miles from Mt St Helens when it erupted. He warned the masses to get away, eruption was imminent. Hiking onto the mountain to take samples from the most active volcano in the world, he hesitantly took the place of one of his peers on a ridge 6 miles from Mt St Helens on May 18th 1980 and watched it erupt. He saved hundreds, if not thousands of lives.
I did not image stabilize the footage, helmet mount GoPro Hero 2. Sorry for the shakes. The footage is still pretty good.
